Reagan & Ashley's visit

We took Reagan to the zoo the Tuesday after they got here.

After that Barry wanted to take them to see downtown Greenville. We spent some time at the falls.

We left for Pawley's Plantation on Wednesday. Here is Reagan playing with his fire engine on the porch at the condo in Pawley's.

Ashley and Reagan at the pier in Myrtle Beach. This was Reagan's first time to see the ocean. He obviously wasn't scared of it at all!

Grandpa and Reagan at the beach

As you can tell it was not that warm at the beach, we've got coats and sweaters on!

Playing the drums at Myabi's Japanese Steak House

Playing in the sand

First splinter! He had gotten a splinter in his finger the night before from using the chop sticks at the japanese restaurant. Grandpa and Ashley got it out!

Reagan on the "Broken Oak" tree at Litchfield Plantation

We got back to Greenville Saturday afternoon and had Ashley's favorite meal- crablegs and shrimp with corn on the cob and baked potato. Reagan and Papa eating their corn on the cob.

Ashley's fashion show, trying on dresses Chris has kept over the years. Or ones she used to fit in to about 30 years ago =)

I wore this red dress in our family pictures over 25 years ago.

Tomorrow will be a sad day, we have to take Ashley and Reagan back to Atlanta so they can fly back to Illinois and their snow. Her husband said we'd had them long enough, he's ready for them to come home.

Arkansas/Mississippi Trip

March 13th: Played golf at Mountain Ranch in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. We spent a week there, on the way back we stopped at Choctaw, Mississippi to play golf at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Course and visit the Casinos =) Was not lucky though. The Azaleas course was one of the most scenic golf courses Chris and I have ever played. Azaleas in bloom everywhere! Left there on Monday to pick up our granddaughter- Ashley and great grandson- Reagan from the Atlanta airport. Brought them back to Greenville with us for the rest of the week!

This is the 2nd hole at Mountain Ranch in Arkansas.

This is the 14th hole at Mountain Ranch in Fairfield Bay.

Florida trip 2009

Chris and I left for Florida on February 18, 2009 to visit Ron & Judy Collins in Orlando, Fla. We had fun and played lots of cards. On Feb.20 we went to Sebastion, Fla. for a week. Played golf with Chuck Costolo that weekend before Ron and Judy joined us on Monday. The weather was great, we layed in the sun, the girls went shopping and we all played cards at night. On the way back home we stopped at Chuck and Linda Costolo's in Ocala, FL. Played golf on Friday and Saturday and left to come home on Sunday, March the 1st. Drove the last 45 minutes home in a snow storm and woke up Monday morning with 3 inches of snow!

Here's Chris in her follow through

Welcome to our Blog!

We left Christmas day to drive to Erlanger, Kentucky on our way to Illinois. It was a beautiful drive through the mountains, haven't seen weather like that in years when going through the mountains. We ate at the Waffle House on Christmas Day... it was the only thing open!! We later spent the night at Jewell's, Chris' sister. When we got up this morning it was so foggy that we went back to bed! We finally left at 10:30 for Illinois. Drove in the rain most of the way up here and the last 100 miles was real foggy. We arrived around 3:00 their time, safe and sound! We were surprised at how much Reagan (our great-grandson) had grown and how cute he is. It didn't take him long to get to know us! He already knows our names. We hadn't seen him since June. Everyone else is fine too! It was so foggy that no one wanted to (or should we say, could) go back out tonight so we stayed in, had dinner and now we're going to watch a movie.

Holding Reagan the day he came home from the hospital. We came up from South Carolina just to see him, our first great grandchild.

This is the 2007 Carolina/Virginia's team matches at Kingsmill in Williamsburg, VA. From left to right; Brenda Frye, Susan Harden, Chris, and Linda Miller.

After the tournament we visited Chris' sister Lillian and her husband Tom, in Fairfax, Virginia. This is her and Tom.
This was last Christmas, Reagan and I having a little chat. They came to our house in South Carolina last year, 2007.

This was Great Grandpa feeding Reagan won ton soup at Yoshi and Ken's "Kampai", japanese restaurant. New Years Eve 2007. He takes after his mom, she likes japanese food too! We introduced her to it when she was little as well!

Hope to keep this updated, check back every now and then and see what we're up to!
